What does the Chipotle Chicken Burrito, Ruby Tuesday’s Fresh Chicken & Broccoli Pasta and Pepperidge Farms Chicken Premium Pot Pie all have in common? These meals all contain (besides chicken) over 1,000 calories per serving. Chicken is usually a healthier alternative to red meat yet in this case each dish has over 18 grams of saturated fat (the artery clogging kind).
And if you’re thinking about getting dessert at Cold Stone Creamery just beware that the Gotta Have It Founder’s Favorite packs a whopping 1,610 calories and 43 (gasp!) grams of fat. You’d have to run 16 miles to burn that off. Most people don’t realize the health hazards of dining out and are uninformed about the impact of their choices. Perhaps posting the nutritional data on the menus will help people make healthier decisions.
